\n\t\t\t\tPresident of CRAIC. Ms. Battaglia has been a member of the Qu\u00e9bec Bar since 1990 and has worked as an accredited mediator in family law since 1992. She is also a broadcaster, having hosted the popular radio show \u201cFamily Law with Maria Battaglia\u201d on news talk radio CJAD-AM from 1999 to 2007. In 2000, she taught at the McGill University Faculty of Law. A distinguished member of professional associations and various community organizations, Ms. Battaglia has sat on CRAIC\u2019s Board of Directors for many years, providing invaluable legal support. She has represented CRAIC at the Montreal Island Seniors\u2019 Roundtable (TCAIM) since it was founded. Ms. Daoust currently works for the Ministry of Public Security of Qu\u00e9bec and volunteers with CRAIC. She provides key support thanks to her expertise gained over many years of experience in government projects. She has also participated in CRAIC\u2019s Les Papillons dance troop and has been a part of volunteer groups set up to provide meals for the homeless, organize bazaars and hold many other CRAIC events and initiatives. Recently retired after a brilliant 33-year career with the SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montr\u00e9al),\u00a0from a young age she quickly rose up through the ranks occupying various roles in Project\u00a0<\/span>Management, Human Resources, Station Commander &amp; Operations Management right up to the senior\u00a0<\/span>role of Deputy Chief. Her dedication and exceptional performance through the years at the SPVM were\u00a0<\/span>honoured by having the distinction of receiving the \u201dMember of the Order of Merit\u201d M.O.M by the\u00a0<\/span>Governor General of Canada. She has been a member of the Board for a non-profit organization in the\u00a0<\/span>Cote Des Neiges area from 2015 -2021 and in March 2022 she was elected to the Board of the CRAIC.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
